WHO ARE WE?
A Christ-Centered Church
Everything we do at the Northland church of Christ stems from out belief that Jesus is the
Messiah, the Son of the living God. Our practices of baptism, prayer, communion, and service
are all modeled after Jesus. We are saved by the grace of our Lord Jesus, and through the power
of his death and resurrection we strive to follow in his footsteps, obeying his teachings and
sharing the good news of salvation through him.
A Bible Believing Church
We believe the Bible is inspired by God and has been preserved for us to grow closer to him and
be transformed by it's teachings. Our sermons, small groups, and classes are all grounded in the
Bible, and we take time to purposefully read from the Bible in our Sunday service.
A Worshiping Church
We gather together every first day of the week to celebrate the death, burial and resurrection of
Jesus Christ. Our roughly one hour worship service is designed to help everyone grow closer to
God and proclaim his greatness. This is done through prayer, Scripture reading, a cappella
singing, observence of the Lord's Supper, and a sermon rooted in Biblical teachings.
A Fellowshipping Church
Northland enjoys fellowshipping just like all churches, but we are blessed with some unique
opportunities. During the week, three different cultures assemble at Northland: English, Spanish,
and Ghanaian. We seek to create relationships between our various cultures! Twice a year we try
to gather for a multi-cultural picnic, and once a year we aim for a multi-lingual worship service.
Each of our groups also enjoy periodic potluck meals. Fellowshipping is most commonly
observed on Sundays, when you'll notice our members hanging around long after services have
finished!
The Northland church of Christ Vision:
To break down barriers for the sake of the gospel in
our community, city, and the world.
We seek to achieve this vision by:
1) Encourage the pursuit of Christ in all aspects of life.
2) Developing spiritual relationships that impact our community and city.
3) Breaking barriers by promoting equality throughout our community and the world.
